Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location :Decatur, IL
Duration: 24 Months Contract(Possible Extension)
Pay rate: $30 -$34 an hour on W2
Summary: The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelors in mech engineering with 0 - 2 years of experience, or associates with 3 - 5 years’ experience
Technical Skills
Required: 0-2 years of overall experience (project and internships included). At least 0-2 years machine assembly/processing experience. Should have at least a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Good knowledge of basic software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Desired: Previous experience with machine design/process design, previous Engineering coordination activity experience, use of VisView, use of TeamCenter. Exp with: PRWB, Tableau (view AQE’s), Decatur Web Apps, Access to MES, Access to AQE, ETQ Reliance Portal (Deviation), CPI-BIQ, I-Cubed, CI processes, Parts Discovery Tool (replaced Design Reuse) Differentiation Factor: Cat experience or experience with the assembly operation side.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication, both written and oral. Manage shifting priorities while maintaining good interpersonal skills in a team environment. Must possess ability to learn quickly and be willing to work with operations/shop floor daily.
