Job Description

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer 1 in Rapid City, SD. The work will be done hybrid. This is a long term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $29/hr including benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay. Cullerton Group will provide sponsorship.

• Typical task breakdown: Participate in receiving and tracking of multiple projects assigned by engineering team leader.
• Design, detailing, research, supplier collaboration, cost analysis for hydraulics projects assigned to the individual
• Participate in team collaboration meetings

• Interaction with team : Daily interaction, highly collaborative. Individual will work closely with team members and engineer lead to identify workload priorities, changes in work requirements, updates to standards, and customer needs.

• Education & Experience Required: Bachelors degree in Engineering (FIRM)
• 2-4 years experience
• No Masters’s degrees
• Internships will be counted

Technical Skills

• (Required) Hydraulics experience 1 year minimum
• CAD software experience (preferably CREO) – solid works
• Print Reading
• Manufacturing experience

• (Desired) 3+ years hydraulics experience

Soft Skills

• (Required)Good verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving and critical thinking
• Good organizational and time management skills
