We are committed to continuing this tradition in our high-volume store and are looking for a professional, service-oriented Butcher to join our team.

Our butchers are reliable , energetic, team driven individual who are ready to work in a fast paced environment. They must be detail orientated and able to multitask and complete assignments, while providing excellent customer service. In this role, you break down beef, pork, poultry, and other meat products into various cuts before weighing out portions to sell. You also help prepare specialty items, such as sausages and cured meats. You must follow all refrigeration safety and manufacturing sanitation guidelines. As a meat cutter, you may also provide customers with advice about proper cooking techniques.

Job duties and Requirements

• Attention to detail, strong work ethic and ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned

• Break down beef, pork, poultry, or other meat products into various cuts
• Weigh out portions for sale
• Wrap and package products for sale
• Grind meat products for sale as necessary
• Prepare sausages and cured meats
• Properly sanitize all equipment with disinfectant
• Follow all safety guidelines
• Assist with unloading trucks and breaking down and stocking merchandise
• Basic knowledge and location of department products
• Determine and eliminates products that do not pass quality standards
• Safely uses, cleans, and sanitizes all equipment following the guidelines provided
• Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation
• Performs other duties as assigned by store or team leadership

Essential Functions

• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to walk or stand for 8 hours and sometimes exceeding
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, or reach over shoulder height
• Ability to work in cold and wet environment
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
