Manual Lathe/Mill Operator Responsibilities:

• Performs all assigned manual machine operations.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
• Rework and modify tools for other departments.
• Good blueprint knowledge with assembly skills.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, and tapping tasks.
• Perform surface grinding.
• Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results
• Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
• Ability to anticipate and solve technical problems and issues.

Manual Lathe/Mill Operator Required Skills:

• Must have 5 years of Manual Machining experience
• Must have experience with GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
• In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their uses.
• Possess the ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words, as well as recognizing similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. Must have the ability to print and speak simple sentences in English.

Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (OT as needed)
