JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintaining cleanliness of the plant and providing routine maintenance as required to ensure a safe and organized environment.
* Performing daily inspections of ceiling tiles and plant lighting; performing monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations and emergency lighting;
* Performing preventative maintenance (PM) on designated machines and equipment;
* Purchasing safety and manufacturing supplies as requested; cleaning equipment, walls and flooring to meet manufacturing standards;
* Performing simple building repairs including wall patching and painting;
* Coordinating work done by outside vendors;
* Performing quality assurance checks; adhering to quality policy in accordance with ISO requirements.
* Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent and six months of work experience, preferably in a production environment.
* Able to communicate, receive, understand and follow verbal and written instructions for duties.
* Basic math and computer skills are required.
* Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods.
* Must be capable of steadily using their hands. Must be able to read and write simple statements.
* Ability to make decisions and have sound judgment.
