The Facilities Technician will be responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of assigned buildings, ensuring that all facilities remain safe, secure, and operational. This hands-on role involves performing a wide variety of tasks including preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and support services.
Monitor the facility to ensure it remains safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained.
Perform general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, drywall repair, patching, and painting.
Conduct basic plumbing repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems.
Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
Move and set up office furniture, equipment, and other materials.
Coordinate and oversee vendor services as needed.
High school diploma or GED required.
2â4 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance or a similar field.
Strong plumbing skills and proficiency in drywall repair, patching, and painting.
Basic knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance best practices.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and solid interpersonal skills.
Experience working in commercial or industrial facility settings.
Familiarity with preventative maintenance schedules and vendor management.
