Job Description
We are seeking an associate to join our team working in our mail distribution center as well as helping in other areas within the printing facility as needed.
The role involves various tasks including:
Lifts and unloads boxes that weigh up to 45 pounds;
Reads and interprets print orders and follows instructions outlined on the order;
Drills and binds publications using drill machines and spiral wire machine when it is specified;
Laminates covers and other products when specified;
Prints addresses on booklets and envelopes and sorts the mailings;
Uses the master inserter machine to insert booklets into the envelopes for mailing;
Sets up the wafer seal machine so that tabs can be added to mailing as specified;
Shrink wrap packages as needed;
Organizes and maintains files and records as needed;
Serves as a back-up to utilizing the postal meter machine with postage;
Assists with shipping and receiving duties as needed;
Serves as an extra helper in other areas in the printing facility as needed;
Requirements:
Previous experience with interpreting post office requirements is a plus;
Needs to be able to run drilling machine, laminator, ink jet printer, master mailer inserter machines, shrink wrap machine, spiral/wire machine, postal meter machine, and wafer seal machine;
Strong organizational skills to maintain files and records efficiently;
Must demonstrate strong basic math skills;
Attention to detail and the ability to follow directions and manage multiple projects is a must;
Able to lift 45 pounds;
Previous experience in a mailroom is a plus;
Experience using a forklift and pallet jack is a plus;
