Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an experience Machinist, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Woodward is hiring a 3rd shift Machinist at our Zeeland, MI location.
What You Will Be Doing \n - Setting up, operating and editing programs on multi-axis machining centers
\n - Performing tool offsets and changes as needed
\n - Conducting inspection checks on parts for measurement and flow accuracy
\n - Using various inspection equipment, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, various gauges and optical comparators
\n - Reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T to ensure customer requirements are met
\n

What We Are Looking For \n - High School Diploma is required
\n - 2-5 years of related experience required
\n - Knowledge of and ability to apply inspection techniques (e.g., formalized inspection standards, inspection instructions, best practices) and use inspection tools efficiently. The ability to read and use micrometers, functional and cylindrical gauges, comparators, indicator setups, calibration stickers and scales.
\n - Knowledge of CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) programming/machining including the ability to read, understand, edit basic programs and/or basic knowledge of one or more of the following skills - grinding, turning, milling, drilling.
\n - General knowledge of machines and equipment functionality, and how tools could be used on such equipment/machines. This includes the ability to learn new systems quickly, understanding how parts relate, and how they impact system functionality.
