Machine Learning Research Scientist - San Francisco, CA

A Seed-stage BioTech startup developing protein foundation models for human health and advanced manufacturing are looking for a Machine Learning Research Scientist to join their fast growing team.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Design and build foundation models from scratch
• Implement your own research ideas in a fast-paced startup environment
• Collaborate with experimental team to validate designs
• Contribute to scaling experiments and model releases

What Are We Looking For?

• PhD in CS/Stats/ML/Math with publications at top venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.)
• Strong coding skills and experience shipping complex ML systems
• Deep mathematical background and research leadership experience
• Mission-driven mindset - genuinely excited about world-changing impact
• High ownership, adaptability, and willingness to work hard in startup environment
