MAC Desktop Support Specialist
Location; Culver City, CA (Hybrid - at least 3 days a week)
6-month contract with potential to convert to FTE
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Mac Device Management and Support
- Lead Mac and iOS device operations using Jamf Pro, ensuring excellence in imaging, deployment, configuration, patching, antivirus compliance, and hardware consistency.
- Manage and maintain Mac fleet metrics, reporting, and capacity planning.
- Own and execute lifecycle management projects for computer upgrades and replacements.
- Administer DEP, VPP, and enforce MDM standards via Jamf Pro and configuration profiles for 200 active Apple devices.
- Deploy vendor and proprietary applications, updates, and security patches.
- Provide hands-on technical support to HQ staff including setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements.
- Collaborate with vendors for hardware/software issue resolution and RMA processing.
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for Jamf Pro infrastructure, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support continuity and knowledge sharing.
- Provision, configure, and maintain the Jamf Connect infrastructure to support secure authentication and seamless user experience.
- Configure and maintain the Jamf Protect platform to monitor security posture and enforce macOS compliance.
- MacOS Application Support
- Serve as Level 2+ support for critical Mac applications such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ensure software version consistency and license compliance.
- Coordinate application patching and upgrades in accordance with security policies and software lifecycle standards.
- IT Service Desk Support
- Use SolarWinds ServiceDesk to manage incidents and service requests in accordance with ITSM policies.
- Accurately update and assign tickets, escalating where necessary based on team guidelines. Collaborate with other IT teams as needed to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Provide responsive, hands-on support to end users by resolving technical issues affecting both Windows and Mac platforms, as well as key business applications.
- User Lifecycle Management
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes: provisioning accounts, assigning group access, configuring hardware, phones, and collaboration tools.
- Assist users directly to ensure smooth transitions and full-service readiness.
- Asset Management
- Utilize Snipe-IT for end-to-end asset tracking and lifecycle management: procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
- Lead initiatives supporting e-waste reduction and responsible recycling practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong hands-on experience with Jamf Pro, Jamf Connect, Jamf Protect, and scripting (Bash, Python, PList, XML).
- Proven expertise managing DEP, VPP, and macOS / iOS in enterprise environments.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Office 365, Azure AD, Exchange, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with hybrid workforce support and remote user troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with supporting both Windows and Mac in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and occasionally ambiguous environments.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and a strong service orientation.
- Jamf 200 Certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Commitment to excellence in customer service and support delivery.
