We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lowboy/Heavy Haul and/or Dump Truck Driver to join our team.

The primary responsibilities include transporting loads to and from various construction sites, inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and complying with truck driving rules and regulations.
The ideal candidate should have excellent truck driving skills, a clean driving record, and a keen eye for safety.

Responsibilities Include:

• Transporting equipment, crushed rock and gravel to and from specified locations
• Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions
• Ensuring that the materials are loaded correctly onto the truck
• Resolving issues when a vehicle breaks down or when an accident occurs
• Keeping the truck clean and in good working order up to DOT standards
• Inspecting trucks before and after the trip and recording any defects they find
• Adhering to all safety and compliance regulations
• Reporting serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel
• Keeping a log of their activities

Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
• Proven experience as a Heavy haul / low boy truck driver
• Must pass drug and alcohol test
• Ability to sit for long periods
• Deep knowledge of safety standards and procedures
• Excellent hearing, eyesight and physical condition; must provide up-to-date medical card
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc).
