Company Overview:

Magickwoods, a leading provider of premium bathroom and kitchen cabinetry, is actively seeking a qualified Logistics Planner to become a key member of our Supply Chain Management team. Reporting directly to the Transportation Manager, this pivotal role focuses on enhancing and streamlining our supply chain functions. The position will be located at our Aurora, IL office.

Position Summary:

The Logistics Planner is responsible for enhancing and optimizing various aspects of our supply chain. This includes specialized planning for transporting kitchen cabinets, data-driven analysis for process improvements, procurement management for indirect materials, and leading cross-functional projects related to logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Streamline and Optimize Supply Chain Processes : Design and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs across the entire supply chain.
  • Data-Driven Analysis : Conduct in-depth analyses to identify and implement improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Transportation Planning for Kitchen: Develop transportation strategies focused on kitchen operations, aiming to identify consolidation opportunities for improved efficiency and cost reduction. Work closely with the Logistics Scheduler to ensure the plan is feasible and executable.
  • Indirect Materials Procurement: Supervise the procurement process for indirect materials, which include warehouse supplies and MRO items, ensuring both availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performance Monitoring : Implement and maintain scorecard systems for the tracking and monitoring of supplier, vendor, and warehouse operations performance.
  • Project Management : Lead and execute logistics-related projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel - Must Have
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and supply chain modeling tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
