Ukrop's Homestyle Foods is seeking to hire Full time Line Leads (Manufacturing Specialist II) for our Bakery, located at 2020 Westmoreland St., Richmond, VA 23230. We currently have first shift (5am - 1:30pm), second shift (2pm - 10:30pm), and third shift (9pm - 6:30am) available. There could be occasional overtime and holiday shifts required during peak seasons. Position Summary:The Manufacturing Specialist II is a position that requires leadership abilities and/or technical skills beyond a Manufacturing Specialist I. This position may assists with preparation of products, schedules and daily production flow. Successful candidates, must be able to work a flexible schedule and work the posted schedule. Must be a team player and self-motivated, ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and coworkers, and knowledgeable in the principles of sanitation and Food safety. Primary Responsibilities: Supporting Assistant Production Manager, daily, by directing work flow to meet labor and production objectivesAssisting with production, equipment and new hire trainingVerifying and calculating batch yield and size adjustments as neededMonitoring production and associate morale throughout the shiftAssisting with ensuring department needs for supplies and ingredients are met throughout shiftStaging raw and packaging materials for daily production Frequently communicating with leadership and other departments ensuring production goalsAssist with training and development of associatesSupports GFSI and FSMA. Assists in ensuring that the SQF system is in place and that we follow all aspects of HACCP plan, SSOPs, and GMPs throughout the plant. Reports all food safety issues to an immediate supervisorSupports an accident-free work culture. When developing, or modifying production processes, assists in accident prevention and risk identification.
