A Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing swimming areas, enforcing safety regulations, and responding to emergencies, ensuring a safe aquatic environment for guests. Duties include conducting safety checks, maintaining cleanliness, and participating in training programs. The role requires valid certifications, physical stamina, strong swimming skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Overview:

WAGE: $17 / hour

Oversee swimming areas, enforce safety rules, and respond swiftly to emergencies, ensuring our guests enjoy a safe and fun aquatic experience.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise swimming areas and enforce safety rules.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid.
• Conduct regular safety checks and inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness of pool areas and equipment.
• Participate in training and certification programs.

Qualifications:

• Current lifeguard certification (training provided)
• CPR and First Aid certification (training provided)
• Ability to pass a Lifeguard course taught in English
• Physical stamina and strong swimming skills
• Capability to tread water for at least 2 minutes
• Ability to swim up to 200 yards
• Skill in retrieving a 10-pound brick from various pool depths
• 20/20 vision or corrective vision to 20/20
• Willingness to get wet and stay wet throughout the day, regardless of weather
• Ability to sit, stand, or rove for hours without a break
• Preparedness to be test/rescue ready at all times during shift
• Successful completion of all internal VAT (Vigilance Awareness Test) audits
• Willingness to be Vigilance Awareness Tested (VAT) daily
• Readiness to clean/dispose of bio-hazard materials
• Compliance with wearing approved footwear
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to safety and detail
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
