Description Responsible to the Librarian for duties related to the technical processing of all materials in the library, and duties related to circulation, reference, and information literacy. In the absence of the Librarian or Assistant Librarian, is responsible for overall supervision of the library and works with other library personnel, students, community patrons, faculty and staff.
Duties - Developspoliciesandproceduresdirectlyrelatedtothetechnicalprocessingofallmaterialsandseesthattheyare properly carried out;
- Maintains an accurate record of all library holdings.
- Maintains bound periodical collection.
- Assists the Director of Library Services, Librarian, and the Assistant Librarian in establishing governing procedures and seeing that they are properly carried out.
- AssiststheDistrictLibrarianandAssistantLibrarianintrainingandsupervisingstudent workers.
- Performs other assignments such as making IDs, circulation, shelving, reference, Information literacy instruction, and participates in Institutional Effectiveness activities.
- Maintains consumable supplies and equipment inventories.
- Effectively communicates with, cooperates with and supports other college personnel in daily activities.
Qualifications and Required Documents - Supports the College mission implicitly and explicitly in the daily execution of all duties and responsibilities.
- Actively participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program.
- Participates in Institutional Effectiveness activities.
- Represents the College in a professional manner as evidenced by dress, demeanor and the discharge of daily responsibilities.
- Fulfills other duties as assigned by the President and/or supervisor.
