We are currently looking to hire a Leasing Agent to join our team in New Albany, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for leasing and marketing our properties while ensuring we maintain target occupancy levels at all times. Ideal candidates will possess excellent customer service skills and be proficient with computer systems.
Position Details:
- Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week).
- Compensation: $19.00 per hour.
- Sign-On Bonus: $500 (Payable on first paycheck. Rehires are eligible if their separation period has been 1 year or more).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 6 months of apartment leasing experience.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with staff, residents, vendors, and others.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
- Ability to travel to Lexington, KY for training.
Essential Functions:
- Assume responsibility for the leasing process and effectively market the property.
- Show available units to prospective residents.
- Assist in projecting upcoming move-outs to quickly fill units and maintain target occupancy.
- Screen applicants to determine eligibility.
- Complete necessary paperwork and ensure compliance with leasing guidelines.
- Maintain accurate tenant files.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
