We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support our customers operations in San Diego, CA.
This effort provides our Government customer with multiple types of engineering services in support of data technology development.
This position will be on-site and will require an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
Responsibilities:
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
Update or enhance existing software capabilities
Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
Maintain databases within an application area
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
US Citizenship.
Active TS/SCI.
Required Experience:
3 years of professional experience with software engineering
Desired Experience:
Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)
Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand, and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to workstation. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and the public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
