Job Description

Deflecto has a great opportunity for a Jr. Product Manager. We are looking for someone eager to learn our products and work closely with our customers delivering improvements and finding new opportunities.

This position reports directly to the General Manager of Air Distribution and is responsible for performing liaison activities between the Strategic Business Unit, Marketing Communications and Engineering.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Work closely with current and new customers within the consumer product/home improvement/air distribution/HVAC product lines.
• Responsible for contributing to the business activities related to product life cycle.
• Analyze and manage current and new relationships and be responsible for delivering improvements to products and packaging
• Product strategy and direction: Understand consumer, industry, and competition trends to uncover new opportunities for product lines.
• Serve as a leader and advocate (internally and externally) for your product offering, helping to outline the product positioning, and key benefits.
• Work closely with all functional groups such as, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Operations, IT, and Finance
• Set goal expectations for targeted cost structure and manage variances
• Assist with pricing strategies throughout product lifecycle
• Serve as a valuable member of the marketing team with flexibility to achieve overall marketing goals outside specific product responsibility.
• Other duties as they may be assigned.

Qualifications and/or Skills Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
• Experience in Marketing, Account Management and other related fields
• Must possess a high level of self motivation
• Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency and a focus on meeting company goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess strong analytical and math skills
• Creativity is essential to this position
• High skill and comfort level with doing presentations in front of an audience
• High degree of knowledge and experience with all of the software in the Microsoft Office Suite as well as Project
• Willingness and ability to travel as required
• Overall understanding of manufacturing capabilities.
