We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Java Developer with experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) or related government agencies. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional looking to kick-start their career in software development while contributing to critical projects in defense and national security.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications and systems under the guidance of senior team members.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
Participate in software development activities across the entire lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to technical solutions.
Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and performance of applications.
Learn and apply DoD regulations and security protocols to ensure compliance with government standards.
Document code, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development.
Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide status updates and seek clarification as needed.
