Job Description
We are looking for Interior Designers with 1-4 years’ experience with a strong background in residential or hospitality design to join our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work with Senior Designer to develop interior schemes including color, materials, sourcing furniture, fabrics, case goods, lighting and material selections. Market knowledge of sourcing decorative items is expected.
2. Prepare presentations using various media including materials and mood boards.
3. Work with Senior Designer to create and maintain design and construction drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections, electrical details.
4. Prepare 3D models using relevant software.
5. Work with Senior Designer to generate budgets, FF&E documents, finish and material schedule, hardware schedule, plumbing schedule etc.
6. Communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, architects and clients.
7. Prepare furniture installation plans and shop drawings, fully coordinated with all pertinent consultant drawings.
8. Prepare purchase orders, coordinate with vendors and follow up for order processing.
9. Coordinate final placement of FF&E installation onsite.
10. Work with Senior Designer to prepare architectural finish specifications .
REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of 2 years residential design experience preferred. Two or four year degree from an accredited interior design program required.
2. AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office proficiency a must.
3. Must have strong organization and time management skills and be able to handle more than 1 project simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
4. Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
5. Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other co-workers.
6. Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and resolving problems, and utilizing sound judgement and reasoning skills.
