The Excalibur Group is currently seeking Job Developers to work out of Hyattsville, Landover and Temple Hills, MD to support a local contract.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES - Build professional relationships with the business community and leveraging those relationships to create a pipeline of job openings.
- Work closely with Case Managers to place Customers in Unsubsidized Employment.
- Work with all internal departments to determine focus areas for developing additional pipeline of employment opportunities in high interest industries.
- Focus on both the number and quality of placements.
- Develop and maintain ongoing personal contacts with private, public, nonprofit, and religious/academic organizations to promote and create opportunities for the individuals they serve.
- Research, initiate and build relationships with employers to seek available jobs aligned with individual’s interest and abilities.
- Collaborate with other in-house programs to maximize network and placement opportunities company-wide, including brainstorming and developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
- Host workshops periodically to reach out to job seekers and provide relevant content and material.
- Maintain an intimate understanding of our clients’ businesses, priorities, pain points and competitive landscape.
- Update the team weekly on placements, industry news, pipeline, and more.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS - Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in business, marketing, communication or related field preferred.
- Must be Prince George’s County resident.
- Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred
- Minimum three years providing supported employment and/or vocational services to adults.
- Proven ability to establish key industry contacts and build relationships, designed to increase business opportunities for Excalibur and its customers.
- Ability to lead and manage outreach efforts in PG County.
- Minimum three years of experience training individuals on job readiness skills.
- Excellent skills researching the job market and identifying opportunities in the industry.
- Experience in the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches for client meetings.
- Experience building new business relationship with employers to facilitate job placements for individuals served.
- Experience supervising and job coaching individuals in employment settings and assisting individuals in meeting vocational goals.
- Good communicator and strong desire to help people.
PAY HOURS OF OPERATION Mon. – Fri. 8:30am – 5pm
