Job Title: IT Service Desk Intern
Job Requirements: Must be enrolled or recently graduated from a degree program in IT, data science, statistics, or related field. Possess a strong interest in computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and software applications. Applicants must have basic IT operations and ticketing systems familiarity. Must be familiar with analysis and mapping tools such as Excel, Visio, and Microsoft Project. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Service Desk Intern to join our IT team. As a Service Desk Intern, you will assist in providing technical support to end users and gain valuable experience in IT service management. This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about IT operations and customer support in a professional environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose IT problems, escalating more complex issues to senior team members.
• Assist in the setup and configuration of desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Install and update software applications and operating systems.
• Document support interactions and resolutions accurately.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Learn and follow IT policies and procedures.
