Prism Staffing and Recruiting is seeking a full-time Tagalog / English Interpreter to provide translator services in an office setting. This position will assist recruiters with communication to healthcare professional in the Philippines that are seeking contract labor opportunities in the United States. All phone and computer equipment will be provided. Work will be done onsite in Norman, OK. Interpreter must speak fluent Tagalog and English. In addition, the ability to adjust for cultural differences is required. The schedule will be Monday thru Friday, 8:30AM-5PM.
Primary Duties:
• Interpret for Prism Staffing and Recruiting English speaking personnel to facilitate a productive and effective conversation with Tagalog speaker while respecting the potential cultural differences and unspoken cues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the translation is effective for Prism Staffing and Recruiting needs.
• Recognizing the cues that the Tagalog speaker demonstrates that are a potential roadblock to Prism Staffing and Recruiting’s mission.
• Send emails to Tagalog speakers based upon the message the English speaker from Prism Staffing and Recruiting needs to convey.
Minimum Requirements:
• Native Tagalog speaker is highly preferred. Must be fluent in Tagalog and the cultural norms of Philippine society.
• English fluency is required.
• Experience with sending and receiving email.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively via telephone and in-person as the need arises.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
