What To Expect
Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start in-person around August or September 2024 and continue through the entire fall term (i.e. through end of 2024) or into early 2025 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Please consider before submitting an application.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Individual to engage in and complete an internship as an Additive Manufacturing Programmer/Operator to program and operate SLA/SLS/FDM equipment in our highly advanced Rapid Prototyping operation.
What You'll Do Blend powder, add resin, and change material canisters on the Additive Manufacturing equipmentBreak-out parts from builds, remove supports, and finish parts as requiredPerform daily maintenance on machines as requiredTurn machines and prepare for the next buildProgram/operate 3D Systems and FormLabs SLA and SLS machinesProgram/operate Stratasys, Markforged, and Bambu FDM machinesOperate, control, and optimize multiple RP processes from CAD file to finished part
What You'll Bring Some exposure operating and working in Rapid Prototyping / machining / fabrication environmentsAbility to lift 50 – 80 lbs. without assistanceAbility to work with little supervisionAbility / willingness to learn new processes and proceduresAbility to follow instructionsWillingness to work overtime and/or week-ends as required, often with little to no advance notice, and sometimes for extended periods

Expected Compensation
$20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
