Job Details

A growing boutique civil litigation law firm is seeking a 2–4 year Associate Attorney with experience in insurance defense and personal injury litigation to join its team. This is a hands-on role for a motivated litigator who enjoys managing complex cases and working closely with clients, expert witnesses, and court personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of litigation from intake to trial
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend mediations, court hearings, and pre-trial conferences
• Consult with clients and expert witnesses
• Lead and manage discovery efforts
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
• 2–4 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience
• Experience in personal injury defense preferred
• Strong analytical, drafting, and oral advocacy skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
• Experience with Clio and Westlaw preferred
