Key Responsibilities:
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and performing necessary pre-painting activities to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
  • Painting Application: Apply primers, enamels, and other coatings using various methods such as spray guns, rollers, or brushes, ensuring even coverage and desired thickness.
  • Sandblasting: Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces, removing rust, scale, and old paint.
  • Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for defects, ensuring adherence to company quality standards, and make necessary touch-ups or adjustments.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of painting and sandblasting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Experience: 2-5 years of industrial painting and sandblasting experience preferred; automotive painting experience may be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating painting and sandblasting equipment; knowledge of various coatings and their appropriate applications.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy components, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions as required.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for color, finish quality, and the ability to identify and correct imperfections.
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including overtime as needed.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work collaboratively with team members.
