A Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral therapy to autistic children and young adults using the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). ABA is a scientific and evidence-based approach to understanding and modifying human behavior.

ABOUT ABT
Advanced Behavioral Therapy (ABT) provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children on the autism spectrum in Ohio and New Jersey. We offer services in homes, schools, and our ABA centers in Beachwood and Columbus.

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience.
New to ABA = $19/Hour
ABA experience but no RBT = $20/Hour
RBT complete with less than 1 year of experience = $21/hour
RBT with 2+ years experience = $22/hour
Flexible full-time or part-time schedules are available.
In-home schedules are part-time, primarily after school and evenings (2:30-7:30 pm), with 10-20 hours per week.
Center schedules include full-time and part-time with 20-40 hours per week
Services (In-home and Center) can be combined to create a schedule that meets your needs.
Benefits include earned paid time off, medical, dental, and vision for staff working at least 30 hours per week.
Mileage reimbursement when traveling between clients.
Short drives for in-home services by matching you with clients within a 15-mile radius of your home.
Location: Cleveland, OH
Service Locations: Center, In-Home, Community, Daycare, and School
Operating Hours:
In-Home: Monday – Friday / 8 am – 7:30 pm
Center: Monday – Friday / 9 am – 5 pm
Responsibilities:
Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
Implement an individualized behavior intervention plan created by and under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address and improve:
Communication skills
Sibling interactions
Self-care and hygiene
Health and safety awareness
Daily routines
Transitional skills
Motor skills
Maladaptive behaviors
Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
Submit detailed session notes
Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment goals
Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to create and maintain a positive therapeutic environment
Follow all safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of client information
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 18 years old
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check
Required Skills:
Experience working with children including but not limited to paraprofessional, classroom aid, behavior interventionist, behavior technician, autism support specialist, childcare, daycare, teaching assistant, special education, preschool teacher, early intervention, camp counselor, pre-k teacher, etc
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with ASD
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
Willing and able to complete a free RBT training program, including 40 hours of self-paced online coursework
