Job Description

An Insight Global client is seeking to hire an Import/Export Specialist for a semiconductor client in San Diego, CA. This is a year long contract-to-hire (benefits offered).

Day to Day:

• Plan, coordinate, schedule international air shipments and domestic shipments including specialized handling of very sensitive high-technology equipment, inspection systems and parts.
• Interact with outside service providers and promptly communicate information received to various stakeholders internally and externally.
• Prepare all required shipping documents for assigned regions or customers.
• Track and Trace inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate the delivery of urgent and or oversized inbound shipments to the manufacturing sites.
• Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
• Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years of experience, OR a AA degree with 5 years of experience in international shipping/traffic operations.
• Basic knowledge of U.S. export regulations and experience in the preparations of export shipping documentation.
• Basic knowledge of U.S. Import requirements.

Compensation:

$25/hr to $28/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
