V-Tech Solutions, Inc. is seeking seasoned and experienced immigration attorneys to join our dynamic team! The candidate(s) will be responsible for providing crucial assistance in representing Afghan parolees seek a permanent status here in the United States. The role will entail meeting with clients, conducting interviews, advising them on eligibility for relief under applicable immigration laws, and assisting clients with preparing applications. The immigration attorney will conduct preliminary work in preparation for interviews before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Paralegal assistance will be provided to support these efforts. Based upon experience, immigration attorneys may be required to provide a level of supervision over high volume case workload. This is a remote/telework position.

  • Research, draft, and present timely asylum applications.
  • Conduct intakes and screenings for humanitarian immigrants.
  • Gather and organize supporting documents as evidence.
  • Write briefs and arguments and prepare forms and affidavits.
  • Represent individuals in immigration court and before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in petitions and before the asylum office.
  • Comply with all deadlines and other requirements as dictated by courts.
  • Oversee and provide supervision on a reasonably high case volume and work under time pressure.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • 12 plus years of immigration law experience
  • A graduate of an American Bar Association accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Must be an active member in good standing of a state bar.
  • Demonstrated success in consulting with nonprofits and/or project management is ideal.
  • Fluent in English, foreign language skills welcome.
  • Must pass recent federal background check.
  • Must participate an on-going drug/alcohol testing program.
  • Must be highly organized and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Possess strong written, oral and communication skills.
  • Highly organized multi-tasker capable of handling multiple projects at once.
  • Must have a passion for humanitarian immigration practice
