Job Title: Associate Attorney (Business Immigration)

Location: San Francisco, CA

Pay Range: $90 – $125K

Jewell Stewart Pratt Beckerson & Carr PC, a nationally recognized business immigration law firm located in San Francisco’s Financial District (FiDi), is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Nonimmigrant Visa team. This role is primarily focused on H-1B petitions, TN matters, and E-3 visa applications, with opportunities to handle a broader range of immigration matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file immigration applications and petitions with U.S. government agencies.
• Engage with clients to gather documents, provide guidance, and ensure a smooth visa process.
• Use case management systems, firm systems, and project management skills to monitor case milestones, follow up with clients, and meet legal and client-relations deadlines.
• Draft and review error-free legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
• Prepare clients for and represent them at government interviews when required.
• Assist with business development efforts and conduct client trainings.
• Perform other tasks as needed to meet client and firm objectives.

• Excellent legal writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound legal judgment.
• Proactive mindset with initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• State bar license.
• 2+ years of H-1B and TN experience handling cases from initiation to filing.
• MS Office skills: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience working with INSZoom preferred.
