Location: Burlington, VT

Situated in the heart of Burlington’s downtown district, our office sits high on the fourth floor of the Wells-Richardson historic building overlooking the beautiful Lake Champlain waterfront and Adirondack Mountains.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and reports, for state and municipal bridge and alternative design projects
  • Perform detailed scour calculations and design protection measures
  • Conduct hydraulic studies for bridge and culvert projects, including river, stream, and floodplain crossings.
  • Utilize hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SRH-2D) and GIS-based project mapping tools for project analysis and design.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including structural engineers, environmental scientists, and construction staff.
  • Mentoring of junior staff and staff development
  • Completion of LOMR and CLOMR applications
  • Business development, proposal development, scope of work and level of effort documents preparation

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in civil or environmental engineering, or related field
  • PE Licensure preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong oral/ written communication skills
  • Salary is contingent on experience
