T he Room Attendant or Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their assigned guest rooms. Duties include upholding Hyatt’s standards of service through cleaning and refreshing guest rooms on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for attention to detail and for working in a fast-paced, and collaborative environment.

Main Duties:

• Greeting guests and responding to queries.
• Changing bed linen and making beds.
• Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Vacuuming carpets.
• Dusting and polishing furniture.
• Emptying trash containers.
• Restocking beverages and food items in the mini bar.
• Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.
• Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
• Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
• Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
• Check all appliances are in working order.
• Remove room service items.
• Ensure confidentiality and securing guest room.
• Follow all company safety and security procedures.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

This position requires flexibility regarding availability with weekends and holidays and is full-time with hours up to 40 hours/week.

This position’s hourly rate is $18.50/hr. This position is eligible to earn overtime, shift differentials and premium pay under certain circumstances, tips, commissions, service charges, or incentive awards.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous cleaning/EVS experience is preferred.
• Ability to learn about cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials.
• Must be able effectively communicate and execute basic requests in English
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 30 lbs.)
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, pull, squat, kneel and bend
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, typically 8am-4:30pm including weekends and holidays
