Job Description

• Teaching 5 assigned sections within the History Department
• Teaching various levels of History instruction including Advanced Placement classes  
• Writing grade and advisor comments about students
• Writing recommendations to college and various enrichment programs on behalf of individual students
• Serving the school’s after school program for two seasons as either a coach or program leader
• Serving the school’s residential and student life program one weeknight per week and one weekend per month
• Serving as an advisor to a select number of students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts degree in History or equivalent
• Experience teaching and working closely with adolescents of various ages
• Creative teaching style that embraces project-based learning
• Flexible planner to include both rigor and support for students
• Adventurist to guide students through new academic territory (new for faculty & student)
• Desire to be actively engaged in the school community
• Ability to serve in the School’s co-curricular program as a coach or program leader
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to support the residential life needs of a boarding school community
