Job Description

Talent Vision, a leading Staffing and Consulting Firm, is partnering with a reputable charter school in Trenton, NJ, to fill the position of High School Principal. This charter school in New Jersey provides a groundbreaking educational model for students in grades 6-12, integrating a two-year, STEM-focused course of study post-10th grade. This initiative enables students to redefine the traditional high school experience, graduating with a high school diploma, up to 60 transferable college credits, an associate's degree, and valuable workplace learning and internships. Founded on the belief that underserved minority students often lack early preparation for competitive college and STEM fields, the school offers significant support both emotionally and financially to bridge this gap.

Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced, innovative leader and educator with excellent academic and professional credentials for the role of Secondary School Principal. The ideal candidate will be a visionary dedicated to creating an inspiring, welcoming school environment. This role demands a dynamic leader who is passionate about our mission, comfortable in a startup setting, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.

Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Leadership: Lead a STEAM-focused educational model, develop strategic school systems, culture, and vision. Oversee data-driven instruction, professional development, and performance evaluations.
  • Teacher Coaching and Evaluation: Implement coaching strategies, conduct daily observations, provide feedback, and manage faculty performance and professional growth.
  • Culture Leadership: Establish a positive, rigorous school culture, maintain high academic and behavioral standards, and support socio-emotional development of students.
  • Community Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with parents and community members, communicate effectively, and build partnerships that enhance the educational experience.

Priorities for Success:

In your first year, you should aim to foster a diverse and equitable academic environment, align teaching practices with our instructional goals, and successfully manage staff and student retention and recruitment.

Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of leading instructional improvement and student growth.
  • Strong background in STEAM education and change management.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and data analysis skills.
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Education or a related field and at least seven years of relevant experience, including three in an administrative or supervisory role.
