Your day as a Wellness and Health Director

As a new Wellness and Health Director at The Ivy of McKinney, you will dive into creating personalized wellness plans for residents, leading health education seminars, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. You'll be responsible for assessing the needs of each resident, developing fitness programs, and monitoring their progress towards holistic health goals. Your role will involve fostering a supportive and empowering environment where seniors can thrive in their well-being journey.

Would you be a great Wellness and Health Director?
  • To excel as a Wellness and Health Director at The Ivy of McKinney, you must be proficient in communication across various levels and with external contacts.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse with a current license in the state for which work is desired.
  • The role demands the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making and adapt to new methods to enhance existing practices.
  • Critical thinking skills are vital for defining problems, analyzing data, and drawing valid conclusions to inform wellness strategies.
  • Flexibility in working hours is essential to meet the dynamic needs of our residents and the organization.
    Two years' experience in geriatric nursing and/or B.S. Degree in nursing. Participation in professional organizations, dealing primarily in geriatrics preferred.
  • Minimum of two years nursing administration experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
