About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Ocean Marine to spearhead the development of an ocean marine practice within its established, specialty, inland marine business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and lead a team, bringing their expertise to an already thriving, award-winning environment. This role is ideal for a proven Marine Vice President or Head of Marine looking for an entrepreneurial challenge, or for a #2 within a marine division ready to take the next step. The Head of Ocean Marine will be responsible for opening doors with brokers, attracting capacity from insurers and reinsurers, and recruiting a strong team of underwriters. The position offers a lucrative compensation package, including a profit share, and is suited to individuals with a strong network and experience in Hull & Machinery, P&I, or Marine Cargo. The ideal candidate for the Head of Ocean Marine position at the company will be a naturally driven and entrepreneurial individual, excited about the long-term earning potential. They should be adept at building and nurturing relationships and have a proven track record in marine underwriting. The role requires a leader who is confident in their abilities and is ready to take on the challenge of growing a new practice.
