Description: This position is remote for now, but the candidate may be required to come onsite at some point during the engagement to work on a hybrid schedule of up to three days a week.The candidate must currently reside in North Carolina. GIS Unit continues to require GIS Specialist services to meet customer needs. This position is providing assistance to data maintance processes, process improvements, quick GIS request, and project LRS coding needs, Litter Management, LSRN incorporating conflation with Open Street Map, as well as various ArcPy and ArcPro integrations, assist with python for HPMS, maintain and develop tools for STIP integrations, as well as other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of GIS principals, theories, and practices - Required 5 Years
• Proficiency with Esri suite of software products- Required 5 Years
• Knowledge of GIS database management- Required 5 Years
• Knowledge of spatial analysis procedures- Required 5 Years
• Knowledge of cartographic/mapping procedures - Required 5 Years
• Knowledge of Linear Referencing Systems data management methods - Required 5 Years
• Proficiency with Python scripting - Required 5 Years
• The ability to work within a activity schedules from high level requests- Required 5 Years
• The ability to work proficiently with minimal daily guidance - Required 5 Years
• The ability to communicate efficiently in oral and written forms - Required 5 Years
