The Opportunity

Join our dynamic construction and home services team as a Generator Technician! We are seeking an energetic problem solver who can listen attentively to customer concerns and provide empathetic, proactive solutions. If you are enthusiastic, polite, and skilled in customer service, we want you on our team. You will play a key role in addressing our customers' unique needs with confidence and professionalism.

The Big Task

You will diagnose, repair, and install generator systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions. As a Generator Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Perform scheduled maintenance on various types of generator systems, including diesel and natural gas generators.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Repair and replace faulty components, such as engines, alternators, voltage regulators, and control panels.
• Conduct load bank testing and other performance evaluations.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
• Perform new generator installations and replacements up to code
• Collaborate with clients and provide excellent customer service.
• Comply with safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts, and installation teams.
• Keep your company truck clean, inside, and out.
• Keep your truck inventory up to date.
• Properly complete paperwork.
• Join the on-call rotation.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Have and maintain a clean driving record.
• Participate in training allowing you to grow and develop as a professional.
• Have or be willing to get the proper certifications. We can help you with this.

Qualifications & Skills needed to excel at Davis & Green:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree or certification in electrical or mechanical field preferred.
• Proven experience in generator maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and PLCs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge with gas work is a plus, but not a requirement
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow safety guidelines.
• Valid driver's license.
