Ascension Search Partners has been engaged to hire a private equity Fund Controller to join a well-respected middle-market fund. This role will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the firm's investment fund accounting and operations. The Fund Controller will collaborate with various teams, including tax, investor relations, investment professionals, and senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: Manage the fund administrator Prepare and distribute quarterly financial statements and partner reports within established deadlines Lead the quarterly valuation committee Manage the credit facility and banking relationships Manage cash flow and pipeline activities to ensure accurate capital call and distribution timing Assist with management of audit Calculate management fees and carried interest Ensure adherence to LP agreements and side letter terms as well as management and reporting on fund performance metrics Maintain internal controls Address and respond to investor inquiries Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting CPA designation preferred Experience in private equity fund administration or public accounting with a focus on financial services 5+ years of relevant experience, with progressive career growth Proven ability to manage third-party teams and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail, accounting policies, and internal controls Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities A client-focused mindset with exceptional communication skills Ascension Search Partners
