We are in the process of hiring a Forensic Accounting Assistant in Long Beach, California. This role is integral to our team, focusing on assisting with financial evaluations, audit preparations, and general accounting duties. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Support in preparing for audits to ensure all financial matters are in order
• Oversee spreadsheet management, particularly using MS Excel, for accurate record-keeping
• Handle general accounting duties, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Assist in financial evaluations to provide accurate financial insight and guidance
• Utilize QuickBooks to pull up registries and generate reports for easy accessibility of financial data
• Monitor customer accounts to ensure all financial transactions are accurate and timely.• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in forensic accounting or related field is advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and standards
• Willingness to continue professional development.
