divh2Forensic Accountant Investigator/h2pThe New York County District Attorneys Office has an immediate opening for a Forensic Accountant Investigator in its Forensic Accounting and Financial Investigation Bureau. In this position the Forensic Accountant Investigator is responsible for assisting Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) in the compilation and preparation of forensic and financial data for investigations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:/pulliLead and perform multifaceted confidential financial investigations./liliPrepare analysis of complex financial records pertaining to alleged criminal activity to determine whether or not an offense has occurred./liliIndependently develop and research leads to corroborate the accuracy of information obtained./liliCommunicate the methodology used to commit the offense and the total financial loss to the victim(s)./liliPresent results of investigations orally and in writing to ADAs based on the evidence./liliSupervise, manage, and monitor, at times, complex and lengthy investigations./liliSupervise, work with, and oversee junior financial investigators when appropriate./liliTestify at Hearings, Grand Jury proceedings and Trials./liliAssist in the execution of search warrants, conduct interviews of victims, witnesses, informants, and alleged defendants./liliPerform related duties as assigned./li/ulpIn addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, candidates must possess the following:/pulliFour (4) additional years of relevant accounting experience, which will equal to a minimum of twelve (12) years./liliThe selected candidate must be a CPA./li/ulpPreferred Requirements/Skills:/pulliCFE preferred./liliProficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)./liliPrior experience supervising in-depth investigations and teams of financial investigators./liliExceptional interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and investigative skills required./liliMust communicate effectively, both orally and in writing./liliAbility to work efficiently to meet deadlines./liliMust be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently./liliStrong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy./liliDependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment./liliMust be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, detail oriented and self-motivated and able to multi-task./liliAbility to interact with all levels of staff and other law enforcement agencies./li/ulpHow to Apply: Apply with a Cover Letter and Resume.
