Oxford Solutions is working with a client looking to hire a Foreclosure and Litigation Attorney for their office located in Melville, NY.

The Foreclosure and Litigation Attorney will handle foreclosure litigation cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in title, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and mortgage banking, and will work closely with clients in the mortgage lending and financial industries. Responsibilities

• Represent mortgage lenders, banks, and financial institutions in foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, and REO proceedings.
• Handle all aspects of foreclosure litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, attending court hearings, conducting depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and provide accurate and timely legal advice to clients.
• Review and manage title issues, liens, and other relevant documentation.
• Stay updated on relevant changes in foreclosure and mortgage laws and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure efficient case management and positive client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of foreclosure litigation experience.
• Prior experience with title, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and/or mortgage banking is required.
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a high caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
