Coffman Engineers is seeking a  Fire Protection Engineer with three or more years of working experience, who is passionate about their craft, wants to work on a high-functioning team, and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multi-discipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.

You would be providing our clients with: automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and mass notification system design, life-safety code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis and special inspection as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Approximate Base Salary – $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 based on experience.
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
• Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change).
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution.

Skills, Knowledge, and abilities:

• Design and specify basic systems without continuous oversight.
• Assist in managing CAD and production efforts.
• Perform consulting services for internal clients, utilizing Fire Protection Engineering technical skills, including but not limited to: automatic suppression system design; fire detection, alarm and communication system design; code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant construction analysis; smoke control analysis; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
• Able to work independently as well as part of high function teams.
• Possess intermediate level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer‐aided drafting and Revit, (fire dynamic simulation for fire protection engineers).
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
• Able to multi‐task and prioritize in a fast‐paced environment.
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related science from accredited college or university
• Ability to obtain EIT or PE.
• Minimum three years working experience in Fire Protection Engineering (consulting)
• General building construction knowledge 
• Experience working with AutoCAD and Revit 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Expected Annual Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00.
