To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer / Technician

Location USA / Marcy, NY.

For over 70 years, as a German technology leader, we have been driving innovation in high-tech tools and thermal processing for semiconductors, microelectronics, and photovoltaics.

Our U.S. branch is based in Durham, NC, but most of the time, you'll be on customer assignments in in Marcy, NY.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

The duties include:

• Providing system service during shift, site visits or assignments.
• Leading installation, repair, maintenance and testing tasks on site.
• Diagnosing faults or technical problems and identifying appropriate solutions in accordance with company and customer procedures.
• Travel will be primarily within North America, occasional travel to the manufacturing facility in Germany may be required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Provide telephone support to customer technicians to facilitate resolution of hardware and software issues.
• Training of customer operators and maintenance personnel
• Creating timely and detailed service reports.
• Documenting processes.
• Following all procedures and protocols submitted by the company.
• Collaborate with the technical team and share information within the organization.
• Understanding customer requirements and making appropriate recommendations/briefings.
• Building positive customer relationships.

Requirements:

• Proven field sales experience with engineered products.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and processes desired.
• Background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
• Desired: college degree, technical degree or certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to work in the US.
• Must have a valid Passport and be able to travel to Germany.

Pay Transparency:

The range for this position is between $80,000 and $95,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
