Join our team as a Field Service Engineer

Positions are immediately available in the Laurel, Maryland area to use your skills to install scientific instruments, repair electron microscopes, and perform preventative maintenance.

Field Service Responsibilities

• Install new/modified electron microscopes at customer's facility to ensure full functionality
• Independently diagnose and repair electron microscopes within the territory
• Review reports and documentation from customers and inspect malfunctioning instrument
• Resolve problems with affected instrument or recommend solution
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair
• Provide on-site technical assistance to troubleshoot and repair equipment

Field Service Requirements

• An AS degree in engineering/science from an accredited college and a minimum of 6 months electronics training or experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• The position requires a valid driver’s license, passport, and up to 30% overnight travel
• Hands-on experience with installation and repair of equipment
• Knowledge of and ability to apply analog, digital, and RF electronics
• A basic understanding of troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to analyze, evaluate, and assess mechanical components
• 25-30% overnight travel anticipated
