Everything we produce is crafted locally in LA, and we're looking for a Production & Creative Coordinator to join our team and help us scale operations while maintaining the craftsmanship and values that define our brand.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Production & Creative Coordinator who will play a key role in both overseeing the manufacturing process and supporting the creation of new collections. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our garments are produced efficiently and to the highest standards while also helping to bring new ideas and designs to life. You will work closely with the founder, providing valuable input on design, sourcing, and production feasibility, while managing the full production cycle. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the fashion industry, with a strong understanding of apparel manufacturing, supply chain management, and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Production Process : Manage the production timeline from start to finish, ensuring that garments are produced and delivered on time.
- Supplier and Vendor Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with local manufacturers, fabric suppliers, and other key vendors to ensure seamless production processes. Source new materials as needed.
- Assist in Collection Creation : Work closely with the design team to help conceptualize, develop, and bring new collections to life. This could include sourcing fabrics, suggesting production techniques, and offering feedback on the manufacturability of designs.
- Inventory and Material Management : Track and manage materials and finished goods inventory. Ensure materials are sourced and stocked appropriately to meet production needs.
- Cost Management : Monitor production costs to stay within budget. Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing and find opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising quality.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving : Address any issues that arise during production, including delays, quality concerns, and material shortages. Proactively resolve problems to keep projects on track.
- Production Scheduling & Logistics : Develop production schedules to ensure timely delivery. Manage timelines for new collections and launches.
Qualifications:
- Experience : Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in apparel production or a similar role in the fashion industry.
- Skills : Strong understanding of garment manufacturing, supply chain management, and production planning. Knowledge of the fashion industry, including design, sourcing, production timelines, and quality control processes.
- Fabric & Materials Knowledge : Understanding of different types of fabrics, garment construction, and how material choice impacts design and production.
- Proactive in Trend Research : A passion for fashion trends, with an ability to bring fresh ideas into future collections and recommend innovative production techniques.
- Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills : Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with design software (Adobe Illustrator, etc.) is a plus, but not required. An understanding of garment construction is a must.
- Location : Must be based in Los Angeles, CA.
- Physical Requirements : Must have access to reliable transportation (a car) for occasional errands, fabric/material pickups, or supplier visits. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally when handling materials or shipments.
