Position Summary::

The history department at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College are seeking part-time (adjunct) history curriculum instructors for fall semester ’24. Applicants must be available to instruct at one or both of the following campus sites:

South campus
Cabarrus Business & Technology Center (CBTC) Required Education/Experience::

  • Master’s degree in History or master’s degree in another discipline with 18 hours graduate credit in history with a HIS degree related prefix.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills::

Two years of college level teaching experience preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities::

  • Updated computer skills and active learning skill set required.
  • online learning system knowledge is critical.

5. Utilize College technology for the delivery of instruction and completion of operational processes; this includes but is not limited to the College’s learning management system, email and calendaring solution, document management system(s), student information system, and employee portals.

6. Meet deadlines, including maintaining and submitting accurate class records, employee records/requests, and other assigned tasks.

7. When applicable, ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order.
