Purpose:

The Facilities Manager oversees the management and maintenance of Panther’s existing and new business sites, including its Pittsburgh corporate headquarters, pharmacy dispensing facility and Tennessee-based pharmacy dispending facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of facilities in response to employee and operational needs, and maintaining company environments to a high standard, including the ongoing review and delivery of facilities related service contracts and purchased services.

This position is in large part onsite with occasional opportunities for remote work.

Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with others, oversees the daily operations of all corporate facilities, the pharmacy distribution center, and the prescription dispensing location in Collier, Tennessee.
  • Oversees facilities and administrative support staff, including facilities support in Tennessee, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensures that all facilities are well-maintained, clean, and safe for all employees and visitors.
  • Manages building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
  • Ensures all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and FDA guidelines.
  • Develops and implements safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conducts regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Coordinates and manages relationships with external contractors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and other facility-related services.
  • Negotiates contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
  • Develops and manages the facilities budget and expenses, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation.
  • Monitors and reports on expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Plans and manages the effective use of space within the corporate headquarters, distribution center, and dispensing location.
  • Coordinate office moves, renovations, and new construction projects as needed.
  • Develops and maintains emergency response plans for all facilities.
  • Coordinates and leads emergency drills and training for staff.
  • Implements and manages sustainability programs to reduce the environmental impact of our facilities.
  • Promotes energy efficiency and waste reduction practices.
  • Occasionally travels to the prescription dispensing location in West Tennessee to oversee facility operations and ensure standards are maintained.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities, Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related facilities or property management experience; experience within a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge at a management level of facility systems, maintenance needs and practices, and related safety and compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities and prioritize and resolve conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software.
  • Credentialed Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or comparable certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel to Panther Tennessee facility occasionally, with a valid state issues driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Work Environment:

This job operates on site in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and communications via MS Teams.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and see a computer screen.
