Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tree Climber/Arborist to lead a dedicated crew in performing a range of tree care operations, including high risk removals, precision pruning, and crane-assisted work. This leadership role is suited for someone who thrives in the field, brings a high level of professionalism, and has the experience to guide a team safely and efficiently.
Duties
Perform technical tree removals, including high risk and complex jobs.
Operate as lead climber on site and be proficient in both climbing and aerial lift techniques.
Safely conduct crane-assisted removals and rigging.
Lead and manage a team of ground crew and junior climbers.
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards of quality.
Communicate clearly with clients, team members and upper management.
Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive, professional jobsite environment.
Conduct jobsite safety checks and enforce safety protocols
Train and mentor less experienced crew members
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in tree climbing and arborculture.
Proven experience with crane work and high risk tree removals.
Strong knowledge of proper pruning techniques and ANSI standards.
Demonstrated leadership and crew management abilities.
Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage jobsite logistics, timelines and customer expectations
Valid Drivers License (CDL preferred, but not required)
