About the Role

The Executive Director of Human Resources at the company will serve as the chief administrator for all HR functions, providing leadership in areas such as organizational development, talent management, and employee engagement. This role involves overseeing the full spectrum of HR activities, including but not limited to, compensation, benefits, recruitment, training, and labor relations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, particularly in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a working manager, the Executive Director will also be actively involved in daily HR operations and client work, fostering a positive work environment and supporting the college's mission of student success. Applicants for the Executive Director of Human Resources position must have a Bachelor's degree in HR management, organizational development, business, or a related field, and at least 5 years' of professional HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years' in a management role. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in HR administration, policy development, and legal compliance. Experience in at least three of the following areas is essential: accounting or bookkeeping, benefits administration, employee and labor relations, or recruitment. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate cultural competence and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. A Master's degree, HR certification, and experience in education or public sector union negotiations are preferred qualifications. The position demands a dedicated professional who can effectively manage a team, develop and implement HR strategies, and represent the college in various professional settings.
